What is Facebook - Basics

Facebook is currently the most popular and the most used social networking website in the universe. It pretty quickly overtook its rival Myspace within almost no time. It was launched in the year 2004 and in the month of Feb. At present Facebook is the proud owner of 500000000 members. One can do various things on Facebook. Some of the things would be to add friends, message them privately, message them publicly (which is also called as writing on the wall), like posts such as video, status message, photos etc, share posts, comment on posts, make new friends, chat to friends, create and join groups, create pages, and do many more things. Facebook was created by a guy called Mark Zuckerberg along with his Uni friends Chris Hughes, Eduardo Saverin and Dustin Moskovitz. This site was first built only for their college and then it was spread among other colleges and schools and then to the whole world. Along with the bright side, there are some disadvantages of Facebook and many companies and countries have banned it.

Indian Tiffin or thali or lunch box or take away or home delivery in London

I know one Indian food home delivery service. I am mentioning it here because I thought it just might be the cheapest home made Indian food in London. I had it twice at my friend's place. This Indian home delivery guy serves in places like Wembley, Harrow on the Hill and even Hounslow. My friend used to get around 7 to 8 chapatis (thin Indian wheat bread), 2 sabzis ( 2 vegetable currys ), rice or chawal, daal (lentils soup or curry) and an indian sweet for just £2.80. There is variety in his food. Sometimes he serves aloo parathas, paav bhaji, poori sabzi or bhaji etc.
His contact number is - 07862254007

All my data stored on digg.com is lost

I had registered with digg.com a few days ago. I updated my profile and submitted around 35 URLs to them. I was very impressed when I could see these URLs on google immediately within some minutes on putting proper keywords.
Today when I used the same keywords, I could see the URLs in the search results of google but when I clicked on them, it said no data found??
I tried to login using my credentials and and it said user dosent exist??
I tried the "forgot password" option and entered the email which I used for registration and it said this email is not reistered with them?
Search for "digg www.trips2london.com" on google, the results come on top.
Then click on "Show more results from digg.com" to see all my pages which point no where??
I am suspecting some other commercial website owner contacting digg.com to delete my profile?? Really Pi**ed up....
Anyone any idea???
Reards,
Girish.

How to win lottery - Increase chances of - example Euromillions

I extracted the numbers of the last 26 euromillion lottery results. So I had around 2 sets of numbers. The first set contained the numbers which resulted after grouping the first 5 numbers of each result and the next set contained the numbers which resulted after grouping the last 5 numbers of each result. I did this because in Euromillions, the result of a lottery is a group of 7 number. Each of the first 5 numbers can be between 1 to 50 and each of the last two numbers can be between 1 to 9. Then for each set I found out which number has repeated itself how many times. Then I ordered this result in ascending order of the repetitions of the numbers. When I compared the results I found that the latest result was in the lower half of the list of numbers ordered in ascending order.

As a real example, the following numbers were the results of the last 26 draws of the national lottery:

38 39 45 46 49 7 8
9 24 37 39 49 3 9
12 13 36 41 46 1 8

1 8 18 28 31 8 9
2 29 31 32 38 1 4
2 22 24 36 44 1 2
4 17 34 40 42 4 9

4 9 31 32 33 3 7
7 19 30 38 50 4 7
1 17 31 43 47 2 3
3 6 15 21 32 7 9

6 22 24 25 36 3 8
3 7 8 43 46 6 8
9 11 17 26 40 3 9
7 21 23 24 44 3 4
12 18 24 26 45 4 5

8 16 18 37 43 2 6
10 28 30 38 39 2 7
1 26 33 36 46 6 7
12 18 19 43 49 3 9

7 11 18 29 42 6 7
12 31 37 38 43 2 3
1 5 18 38 45 4 6
34 35 38 39 46 3 4

9 17 30 39 43 5 7
4 22 27 36 44 7 9

Now for the first set of 5 number's affter finding out which number repeated how many times, I had the following:

@10@ 1
@13@ 1
@15@ 1
@16@ 1
@23@ 1
@25@ 1
@27@ 1
@35@ 1
@41@ 1
@47@ 1
@50@ 1
@5@ 1
@11@ 2
@19@ 2
@21@ 2
@28@ 2
@29@ 2
@2@ 2
@33@ 2
@34@ 2
@3@ 2
@40@ 2
@42@ 2
@6@ 2
@22@ 3
@26@ 3
@30@ 3
@32@ 3
@37@ 3
@44@ 3
@45@ 3 <---
@49@ 3 <---
@4@ 3
@8@ 3
@12@ 4
@17@ 4
@1@ 4
@7@ 4
@9@ 4
@24@ 5
@31@ 5
@36@ 5
@39@ 5 <---
@46@ 5 <---
@18@ 6
@43@ 6
@38@ 7 <----

And for the 2nd set of 2 number's affter finding out which number repeated how many times, I had the following:
@5@ 2
@1@ 3
@2@ 5
@6@ 5
@8@ 5 <---
@4@ 7
@9@ 7
@3@ 9
@7@ 9 <---

And the latest result was :

38 - 39 - 45 - 46 - 49 7 - 8

If you look at the results, the lower half of the numbers has a more density of the winning numbers. So, if you select you numbers from the lower half (especially from the bottom most part), you have a high chance of winning. Note that the above list of numbers ordered according to their repetitions, will keep changing according to the results of each draw. I wrote the following 2 unix scripts ( computer programs / software) to get these statistics:

cat find_count.sh

sort gir_lu | uniq >> ./temp_sort

while read var
do
count=`grep $var gir_lu | wc -l`
echo $var " " $count >> ./temp_list
done < ./temp_sort
sort -n -t ' ' +2 temp_list
rm -i temp_list temp_sort

cat find_count2.sh

sort gir_lu2 | uniq >> ./temp_sort

while read var
do
count=`grep $var gir_lu2 | wc -l`
echo $var " " $count >> ./temp_list
done < ./temp_sort
sort -n -t ' ' +2 temp_list
rm -i temp_list temp_sort

cat gir_lu

@38@ @39@ @45@ @46@ @49@ @9@ @24@ @37@ @39@ @49@ @12@ @13@ @36@ @41@ @46@ @1@ @8@ @18@ @28@ @31@ @2@ @29@ @31@ @32@ @38@ @2@ @22@ @24@ @36@ @44@ @4@ @17@ @34@ @40@ @42@ @4@ @9@ @31@ @32@ @33@ @7@ @19@ @30@ @38@ @50@ @1@ @17@ @31@ @43@ @47@ @3@ @6@ @15@ @21@ @32@ @6@ @22@ @24@ @25@ @36@ @3@ @7@ @8@ @43@ @46@ @9@ @11@ @17@ @26@ @40@ @7@ @21@ @23@ @24@ @44@ @12@ @18@ @24@ @26@ @45@ @8@ @16@ @18@ @37@ @43@ @10@ @28@ @30@ @38@ @39@ @1@ @26@ @33@ @36@ @46@ @12@ @18@ @19@ @43@ @49@ @7@ @11@ @18@ @29@ @42@ @12@ @31@ @37@ @38@ @43@ @1@ @5@ @18@ @38@ @45@ @34@ @35@ @38@ @39@ @46@ @9@ @17@ @30@ @39@ @43@ @4@ @22@ @27@ @36@ @44@

Hyper random Average travel diary blog

I am writing this while sitting in the underground tube and I started writing at the Knightsbridge station and the tube is

running via the Picadilly station.My compartment suddenly got crowded at Hyde Park corner. There are a lot of people sitting

here and the time is 21:17 Hours. I am travelling to work.I have a night shift today. I will change tubes at king's Cross

St.Pancras and take any one the tubes to Liverpool street. I could take a Hammersmith and City or circle or Metropolitan line

from King's Cross to Liverpool Street. The person sitting in front of me has worn a Blazer and is playing with a game on his

big rectangular PSP. A couple are talking to each other. They are the loudest in the compartment and have an American accent.

They have some boxes with them which have some some Chinese script on them. The lady opened a box and showed her partner a

pen which she found inside the box. The top of the pen had the ability to produce a thin layer of red light. A white girl is

helping cool herself with a chinese / Japanese manual fan.There is a pretty white girl wearing a pink top and a white short

pant. She is with her friend. I just changed tubes at King's Cross St Pancrass. I am going towards Liverpool Street. This

tube is a lot different from the one I was in.This seems to be a little older than the one I was in. The direction of the

alignment of the seats isperpendicular to the length of the tube. So the arrangement of the seats is more like the

arrangement of the seats in an overground train.

Started writing at Osterley station on the Picadilly line. I just noticed that the cushion cover of the

cushions of the seats of the tube that I am in, is Blue in colour with thick orange squares. They also have Blue ( different

shade ) square.The handles for resting the hands is red and grey in colour. The horizontal and vertical poles which are used

to hold by the people standing in the underground tubes is Blue in colour. No one is standing right now though. There are

three tube maps above one set of seven seats. Two of which are the maps of only the Picadilly line and the one in the centre

is the whole tube map. There are two adverts above each Picadilly map. Hence there are four adverts per set of seats ( seven

places to sit in one set). Between the four maps, there is a small horizontal screen to display information about the name of

the next tube station and other information as well. There is also a computerised announcement inside the tube before and at

each tube station. Ocassionaly the driver also announces stuff about planned line closures etc in his mic. There is one

rectangular window below each Picadilly line advert. Each window has a no smoking board and the window near the doors says

please keep feet off seats. Above each window, there is a red coloured switch to open and close the fan I guess ( or may be

the window itself ). There are six sets of seats in one compartment / carriage / car / cab, three on each side. So people sit

facing each other. There are four doors for the passengers and two doors to go to the adjacent compartments / cabs. These 2

doors have the following written on them : door alarmed on yellow background, keep clear access required at all times on a

blue background. The above 2 messages have an exclamation mark on their left. The 3rd message says fire extinguisher located

in driver's cab. I can see number 859 on the left of this door and Bombardier transportation on its top right. There is a

passenger emergency alarm on the doors. On the top left. And on its left hand side, the following is written : In an

emergency, use the passenger emergency alarm to alert the driver. It is safer to stay on the train than attempting to get

off. Follow instructions from staff or emergency services. Do not take any risks. There are heaters below each set of seats.

Thank god, they are not on now :-). Its summer and already warm. I think there are two ventilators between each set of 2

seats. I have reached Picadilly Circus now and cant observe any more in the tube as it is getting crowded and is blocking my

view. Moreover I am feeling little awkward to look around and copy what is written on the tube. The seats near the doors are

priority seats and should be given to disable people. There is a glass slab near each door and adjacent to the seat closest

to the door. This glass slab is perpendicular to the plane of the door.The floor is grey and has white and blue spots of

irregular shapes.

Got in the next tube which is very old and different from the tubes that run on the Picadilly line. I got in the tube at the

King's Cross station. This one has irregular sized seats and the cushions on these is Blue in colour and has light blue and

maroon isoceles triangles on it. The allignment of the seats is perpendicular to the length of the tube. Above the wondows

there is space to keep the luggage. Can see Sapbrc written on the top of the windows. In the new tube I also saw the

following written near the entry exit door for the passengers - Video cameras for your added security video cameras are being

introduced on London underground trains. People whoassault our staff or vandalise our property will be procecuted.

28th July 2010
---------------
Today while going to work via the tube, when the tube reached south ealing, I noticed a London underground advert saying "I section of the Roman walls can still be seen inside Tower Hill Station". I also saw another advert which read "Every week our escalators travel the equivalent of twice around the world". Saw one more advert which said "Introduce this person to the Spirit of Nando's & tomorrow they will not be as grumpy as a donkey that has run out of oats"..lol. At the end of the advert, there was an arrow pointing downward pointing to a seat. And there was a person sitting there :-). This was a Nando's Chicken advert.

Worldcup 2010 in South Africa.

Germany lost to Serbia 0-1
And France lost to Mexico 2-0 !!
England drew with Aleria - 0 - 0
Brazil looks pretty strong though. Defeted Ivory Coast 3 - 0

21st June 2010 .Great win for Portugal. It was similar to a very old historic match between Portugal and North korea. The sum of the scores of the old historic match between N.Korea and Portugal is equal to the number of goals scored by Portugal !!

Portugal defeated N.korea 7-0
Raul Meireles at 29th Minute, Simao at 53rd minute, Almeida at 56th minute, Tiago at 60th minute, Liedson at 81st minute, Ronaldo at 87th minute and Tiago at 89th minute.

21st June 2010 Spain Vs Honduras.
Spain had an awesome passing game. I think Spain has chances of winning the World Cup.
22nd June 2010 - South Africa have defeated France 2 - 0 and I guess France are now out of the World cup.
22nd June 2010 - Uruguay defeated Mexico 1 - 0
Wimbeldon has also started and 21st June was the official start of summer in the UK :-)
I hope the following countries win as they have been selected by me for the Wagger's cup played by around 60 people belonging from my team and some of other teams in my company.

Australia
North Korea
Argentina
Brazil
Slovakia
Ghana
Cameroon
Chile
Greece
South Korea
Serbia

As of today I am at the 24th position.

Today, 22nd June 2010, Argentina showed some awesome play at the end of the game and defeated Greece 2 - 0. Nigeria fought back and levelled up with south Korea, 2 - 2.

23rd June 2010 , England could have scored a lot more against Slovenia. But I am glad that they defeated them 1 - 0.
USA defeated Algeria 1 - 0. There were "ohh"s and "ahh"s heqard on our floor as everybody was watching the match on their desktops.

England are now in the top 16.
I think Argentina or Brazil or Spain will win the worldcup.
24th June 2010, Italy lost to Slovakia ??

Brazil had a tough fight with Portugal and ended up up scores nil all
Côte d’Ivoire or Ivory coast defeated North korea 3 nil.
In this world cup none of the players seem to be playing exceptionally well. There seem to be less famous names and even the ones which are famous like Christiano Ronaldo and Rooney are not playing very well. May be new famous names will be discovered / invented after this worldcup. I wish India played the football worldcup once. I remember once them beating Iran or Iraq 1 nil during the asian qualifiers for the worldcup. But that was long back and they didn’t qualify for the worldcup then.

25th June 2010, Oh my god the goal keeper of Chili came out quite a distance from the goal to defend and Spain took advantage of this and David Villa number 7 ( seven ) from Spain hit a long shoot inside the goal of Chili…lol. Players of Chilli were wearing red jersys and blue shorts, blue and whitesocks and yellow shoes. The players of Spain were wearing dark blue Jersys, white shorts, white socks and white and orange shoes. At around 20:04 an opportunity was missed by a Chilli player to level the scores. I think it was Vidal. Estrada from Chilli was dismissed after a while.Torres denied a penalty near Chilli goal at around 20:06 Iniesta scores at 20:07. I think Torres was not tripped but he fell on his own and the guy from Chilli got a red card for no reasons. Xabi Alonso was tripped down at around 20:16. He left the ground just before the half time. Millar from Chilli scores at 47th minute at 20:37. The score is noe 2 - 1 to Spain. He shoots the ball which is deflected by a spain player and the balls goes in the goal. David Villa takes a shot at the 52nd minute but the Chilli goal keeper saves it. At around 20:52 Spain get many chances to score. Convert none though. Fabian comes in for Chilli. Xavier in Xabi out for Spain at 21:01 which is after 73 minutes of the match. Spain is wasting a lot of time since 85th minute. And at 85th Minute Fabregas misses a good opportunity of scoring.

25th June 2010
There were so many yellow cards in the Span Vs Chilli game.
29 June 2010 01:05
My Opinion said...

England was defeated by Germany in a similar manner in which Germany was defeated by England in 1966 world cup when England won the world cup I guess. Germany took the lead when Klose scored at 20th minute putting Germany ahead by 1-0. England's goal keeper David james is pretty old in age compared to the goal keepers of the rest of the countries. Hence his reflexes were not very good and he was not very quick too. Since England were trying to attack a lot, the Germans counter attacked very well. There were very few England defenders when Germany counter attacked. Lukas Podolski scored the next goal for Germany at 32nd minute. England were too far behind Germany in a very short span but England players fought back as a result of which Matt Upson immediately scored for England at the 37th minute and Lampard's long range shoot took the ball in the nets but the refree did not see this and hence didt give the goal. England had almost levelled the match 2 - 2 . Just because of a very very poor decision by the refrees, the morale of England must have gone down to ZERO. After this England tried their best to attack and got some changes to score too but the German goal keeper was too quick for them. Gerrard almost scored one but again the Goal keeper denied it. Every time England attacked, the Germans either defended well or were lucky to get away with it and counter attacked very well . Thomas Mueller finished England's chances of coming back into the game after he scored 2 quick goals at the 67th and 70th minute.

Its funny that millions of people saw the goal that England were denied and there was this 1 man who didn’t. There is so much money and sentiments involved in this game and such poor decisions ruin the game and results totally. It is time FIFA should introduce 3rd refree's who can see the replays of what happened. To make correct decisions like whether a player was actually tripped or was it a offside or was it a goal etc.

The game of cricket has introduced this long long back. All the Umpire does is draws an imaginary square in the air which tells the third umpire to make the final decision. The 3rd umpire has many screens in front of him. Each screen captures the moment via different cameras with different angles and positions and it makes it very easy for the 3rd umpire to make a correct decision. There have hardly been any unfair or incorrect decisions after the introduction of the 3rd umpire. Cricket also makes use of snickometer where we get to know graphically if the ball actually snicked the bat before the wicketkeeper caught it.

What is the point of having all the advanced technology when the final decisions are so incorrect ?

Hyperaverage blog - How was your day ?

Today I had planned to post(return) the 3G mobile broadband dongle. I think I received it on 28th May. I shouldn’t have got it as I don’t take my laptop to work or out usually. I will instead use internet on my mobile phone. I cancelled it around 2 to 3 days after I received it. They told me that I will received a pre paid envolope. All I have to do was to put all the contents that I received in that envolope and post it in the post office.

And I am supposed to post it within 5 days after I received the pre paid envolope. Otherwise I will have to pay the bill of next 18 months which was not huge as it was just 5 pounds a month. But I didn’t want to waste it as I wouldn’t use it. I couldn’t post it because I am in the morning shift and have to start at 05:30 in the morning. Hence I have asked my wife, Shruti to post it today. I hope she posts it.

Daily hyper average blog.

Shruti vasant got an upgrade deal from threeg. She got an HTC Hero phone, 5000 sms, 2000 call minutes and 1 giga bytes of free broadband for just £22 per month. She got this cheap deal because she has been a three customer for a long time. Girish used the phone and liked it a lot.

On 3rd of july which was a Saturday, Shruti and girish invited their friends to celebrate their first aniversary. They had been to Switzerland on their first aniversary on 11th June 2010. On 3rd July they had arranged a house party. Shruti did almost all arrangements. Prachi, Ravi and Girish helped her. Among the guests were the following : Pasindu or Passy, His wife - Kaush or Kaushalya, Adam and Aneta, Salil and Paranika, Sampath Pritila, Parveen Kumari, Sanket, Tanya (for a while), Holly Tiku, Gaurav Mehan or Frooty, Kavita Pandya. Apparently, Adam and Aneta used to stay in the house where Girish and Shruti stay currently and when Adam and Aneta left the house, Kaush and Passy came to stay there. Now when kaush and Passy have left, Sanket and Shikha have come to stay there. Holly, Parveen and kavita are Shruti's good friends and have become girish's friends as well. Frooty was Shruti's old house mate. Girish had called Vivek Damodaran who was his ex TechM mate but he was bussy. Shruti and Girish had met Salil and Paranika on their trip to Switzerland. There were spicy potato chips, onion rings, samosas, bhajis, vej Biryani, chole ( chic peas ) and raita to eat. There were drinks as well. It was fun. Shruti had arranged some games like pasing the parcel and some other games. There was this game where every one had to write some crazy sentence on a chit of paper. Every one wrote two sentences, each sentence on 1 chit. These chits were folded and put in a basket. Now they all had to sit in a circle. One person starts off with an imaginary story and after he complets around 5 to 6 sentenses of his story, he picked up a chit on random and read what was in it. Then the person sitting next to him continues with the story and picking up the chit and the game goes this way. It’s a real funny game. They also played a game where each guy and girl were stuck with a celebrity's name behind them. When their turn came, they had to show their back to everyone and then had to stand in front of everyone and then could ask questions to all in order to identify the celebrity who's name was stuck behind them. First all the guys finished off with their turns. Then the girls came. The names behind the girls's back were the names of the partner's or wife's name of the celebrities who's names were on the backs of the guys. Once the girls finished their turns, every pair was brought forward and made to stand facing away from each other and were asked questions about each other like "how many bangles is your partner wearing right now" or " what is the colour of your husband's shirt". It was fun. They all danced after this and all the while clicked pictures. Girish and Shruti also cut their aniversary cake which was brought by Sampath pritila. Kavita Pandya and Sampath Pritila worked with Shruti, Prachi and Ravi in Thames Water.

The next day, that is on 4th july, Ravi Vasant, Prachi Dighe, Girish and Shruti went to watch the bollywood movie called I hate love stories. They all went to watch the movie in Cineworld Feltham. The movie was very average and so wwere the acting skills of the lead roles which were played by Imran Khan and Anil Kapoor's daughter Soman Kapoor. Girish liked the initial 45 minutes to 1 hour but then lost interest. It was funny when Imran Khan did a sad role. Ravi Vasant didn’t understand the profession of Imran Khan in the movie as he did what ever his boss told him to do…lol.

6th july 2010 Tuesday - Today while travelling to work via London underground Girish Suryawanshi read that there are around ten thousand ( 10000 ) foxes in London !!

This article was about a photographer who spotted two foxes fighting with each other and made good use of this opportunity to click some snaps of the two. It a very common thing for Girish and the guys who live in his house as foxes come in their back yard garden ( lawn ) to dig into our bin bags almost every day. They tear off the bin bags to search and eat the food left overs. Girish was very frustrated with these foxes as they caused a lot of dirt in the back yard. So he thought of keeping the bin bags inside his house until Friday ( the bin bag collection day, by the council's garbage collectors ). One day when Girish was coming back from his evening shift at around 11:20 PM he saw a fox on his way home. Seeing Girish, the fox immediately hid itself. After around 10 minutes of walk Girish reached home and was about to open the lock when he heard something little far behind him. He saw that the same fox was hiding behind the car at staring at him. He realised that all this time ( 10 minutes ), it was following him secretly !!. May be it was Thursday and they Fox thought I would keep the bin bags out so that it could feed on the left overs. That night Girish didn’t keep the bin bags out near the front gate. He directly kept the bags the next day morning.

The first cell phone that I bought was somewhere in Sept 2005 I guess. Because I remember that I bought my first cell phone after my postgraduation and once I got my first job. So, that was Nokia 6610i and was for around 7000 rupees. Then after some months or about a year I got Nokia N-70 because I thought I should update myself with something new. I guess the Nokia 6610i is now with my younger cousin. The I came to the UK in May 2007 and after some months or about a year the Nokia N-70 broke because of some reasons. Then I got a contract phone it was a Nokia phone too and it used to twist it was Nokia 3250. After some months or about a year I stepped on it while having my dinner in milton keynes oldbrook 8 kirkstall place mk6 2nb. Just a few weeks ago my rommie stepped on his company's laptop … lol may be his Influence..lol

Then I don’t remember which phone I got . But after I went back to India on 2nd May 2009, I got a Nokia Xpress music phone which costed me only around 6000 rupees. This time I got a cheap one as I thought I had already wasted a lot of money in phones. But when I came back to London again on 29th August 2009, I gave my cell to my Wife and got a sony cellphone contract. Which was a cheap contract too..I don’t remember the model number name though. My Life's today's hyper average story - 27th May 2010

Today I was supposed to walk to Hounslow West tube station to handover some books and sweets and gifts to a common friend of me and my Wife. They were not for him but for my Wife's uncle who lives in Hyderabad, India. And Sam ( our common friend) was going to go to India today. I was supposed to get up at 10:30 AM and walk to Hounslow West tube station where Sam was going to meet me and where I was going to hand over him the stuff. I was very reluctant to do this as I don’t like to give up even a bit of sleep during the week days. So my wife had to convince me a lot to do this. But still while she left for her work this morning, she did not remimd me of the thing I had to do today and I thought its okay if I don’t do as the stuff could be sent via some one else who would go to India. I had a couple of friends in TechMahindra Milton Keynes who went to india frequently. So I didn’t set an alarm or something to wake up. I got a call from my wife at 10:20 AM when I was deep asleep and I attended her call and told her that ask Sam not to come as I don’t think I will be able to make it and he would get late for his flight. She thought I was joking and she said "ok" and hung up. I woke up at 11. Went to have a bath. When I returned, I saw around 11 missed calls and 4 messages. I called my wife and she was really upset on me. So I called Sam and told him that I would meet him at the airport which I did and surprisingly it didn’t take me much time and I reached my work in time too. It was just that I didn’t take my lunch from home as I thought I would get late. So, I bought lamb biryani and raita for lunch.

Do you prefer water or a soft drink ?

I definitely prefer water if its summer and if I have just exercised or played football or table tennis or some other game which needs physical stress and strain. Obviously I feel thirsty and want water and no other liquid at that time. A soft drink cant satisfy my thirst at this time. I would prefer a fresh fruit juice than a soft drink at that point in time. But I would prefer water more than a fresh fruit drink. But if I am having a burger with potato chips or a pizza, I would prefer coke or pepsi or some other soft drink. I think its just the western junk food after which or during having which I would prefer a soft drink. I would prefer water while I am having a proper indian meal like when I am having roti / chapati ( Indian bread ), sabzi / bhaaji (vegetable curry), daal, chaawal / bhaat ( boiled / cooked rice) with paapad and or achaar or loncha ( pickle ) and raita or koshimbeer and taak / chaajh ( butter milk )…Ooh feeling hungry now though I had lamb curry with rice and raita a while ago. Will save the samosa for the evening and will have a pack of doritos now with coke :-) .

So what do you prefer ? Water or an aerated soft drink - comment below ?

Who is your best friend ?

I have friends who are very close to me. But I think I don’t have a best friend. Its quite possible that I have a couple of friends whom I could call as my best friends but its just that I don’t want to.

Its possible that I am a kind of person who does not attach to anyone very closely. Not that I cant but may be I purposely don’t attach my self to anyone very closely. May be because of the thought of being hurt.

I have seen people who are fake, manipulative, money minded in my life when I was small and I used to think why don’t people just be normal and behave straight forward. For example why don’t people just say that we will share the bill when a group goes to eat out. Why do some people in the group keep quiet and wait for other to pay it all ? Why do people b**** incorrect things about others? Why do people cheat while playing a game ? There are many such small things which I hate. May be my previous experiences makes me think that one or the other day my friend will do something like this. Hence I keep some distance from all my friends. May be I don’t realise that all people cannot be they way I want them to be. But I am happy this way. I go out with them and have fun but I do not expect much and may be I do not even do much.

What qualities do you think your best friend should have ?

What would you want your child to be ?

Well I have heard from some people and have read in some places that you should not force your kid towards a particular field which is more of your interest than his / her and I believe in this.

But I think it is also important that you tell your kid about the advantages and disadvantages of certain important things in life with real life examples. Because I would not want my daughter to become a strip Dancer or my son to become a gambler . One of my polish friends was telling me the other day that according to statistics most of the British teenage girls want to become strip Dancer !! I don’t know but the ratio was surprisingly high. But if it was my choice, I would want my kid to become a CEO of a company or a good businessman or something of that sort. What would you want your child to be ?

What happens after death ?

I think nothing happens :-) . I mean I would like to believe what science says. The body is decomposed unless you preserve it using preservative chemicals or it is burned in Hindu custom.

I think that’s it nothing more happens after that. So no heaven or hell or soul escaping and stuff like that. What do you think?
